GEEK, AND YOU SHALL FIND SHOWCASES POWER OF COMIC BOOKS & SUPERHEROES THROUGH THERAPY, EDUCATION, SOCIAL MOVEMENTS, & MORE
Film Features Exclusive Interviews with Stan Lee, George R.R. Martin and Kevin Eastman
Phoenix-made film, Geek, and You Shall Find, is a unique, heartfelt documentary that explores how some of the world’s most iconic superheroes came to be and how they continue to make our world a better place each and every day. The independently-produced documentary highlights how comics go beyond entertainment by showcasing incredible stories from all over the country including local non-profit, Comicare, that donates comic books to long-term hospitalized children, to psychologists using Comic Book Therapy to treat patients with PTSD and even a college professor using Spider-Man to teach a criminal justice course.
Produced by local film company, Superhero Faces Productions, Geek, and You Shall Find, features exclusive interviews with the late Stan Lee, Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman, and many more titans of the industry. The film captures the team’s journey to better understand the importance of superheroes, the deeper meaning behind why fans are so passionate about them and real-life scenarios in which they help make the world a better place by battling social ills such as racism and gender violence.
In addition to being created by four Phoenix residents, the documentary also made its world premiere at the Phoenix Film Festival in April of this year and is now available for the world to see on a number of video on demand platforms including Amazon Prime, iTunes, PlayStation and VUDU.
